I’ve been a big fan of stories involving dance, ballroom in particular, for a long time. I guess I can date myself and reveal that it all started with “Dirty Dancing,” but I’m a sucker for dancing movies and dance competition shows in general. (Yes, I watch “Dancing With The Stars.” #TeamWitney) A Turn for the Worse isn’t about dance in the way a dance movie or show is, but it’s central to some key scenes and themes. As for why I decided to pair dancing with werewolves… why not? It’s different, it’s unexpected, and starting out with a protagonist whose strengths aren’t purely martial or magical is rife with storytelling potential.
